I want to get the hell out of northern California as soon as possible, especially away from my parents. (Don't ask) My dad may provide me with money when I move out, but that really depends on the economy in 3 years.

Just in case, I want to start making and saving money right now. What should I do? Bank accounts = interest, but no money is safe in the banks right now obviously. I could always get a piggy bank, but that means no interest.

I can get a work permit, but nobody is hiring. How can I make money? I hate kids, I'll refuse to babysit. I won't do yard work either. I can help with homework, but nobody around here would pay for that. People around here usually pay teenagers with cookies. But I want some cold hard cash.

Any suggestions?
