what is my ex thinking?

ok so my ex randomly started talking to me again this week. first she texts me she wants to hang out. then she texts me she misses me. so we hang out. during this time we talk fine, nothing wrong. we go somewhere else. she wants to take pictures, she wants piggy back rides, and a hug. so the next day she comes to find me instead of my best friend who i thought she had a crush on two weeks ago. she ignores him and when we walk she walks basically on top of me cuz shes so close to me. shes grabbing my arm trying to skip.

now today i find out she had a date with another boy and they are going out or something and going to a school dance.

is she just keeping me around or something else. this other kid is a bit of a loser, so i dont know if she wants to make me jealous cuz she messaged me and kinda led me into a convo about it, like she wanted to bring it up...
she seemed to be showing more interest then when we were dating.

By the sounds of it she might just want you back or maybe she just wants to feel loved i dno its hard to say wuthout both sides of the story bt i suggest you just talk to her about it maybe just bring it up in conversation or talk about the "old days" and see what her reaction is.
